Align is a free photography app on the App Store. It prompts users to capture photos that match a predetermined shape — an on-screen overlay guides them toward similar forms in their surroundings. After collecting enough images, the app compiles them into a video that rewards careful alignment. Through this process, users become more observant of their environment, learning to notice repeating patterns and objects that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Breadcrumbs is a 3D-printed map of State College, PA embedded with LEDs that illuminate according to location data. A companion app connects to an ESP32, syncing my current position with a specific LED on the map. As I move through the day, a glowing trail reveals my path, visualizing where I’ve been. To anyone familiar with the town, the pattern of lights offers a subtle yet revealing portrait of my movements - information inferred purely through illumination.
CUES is a collaborative interactive installation that explores communication, trust, and shared perception. One participant stands inside a triangular structure facing a projection, while another stands outside, guiding them verbally to place their hands on specific illuminated areas. Using Kinect tracking, the piece detects when both participants achieve alignment, triggering responsive visual and auditory feedback. The work highlights how understanding and connection emerge through cooperation and sensory dialogue.
Dialed gives golfers a faster way to get comfortable on unfamiliar greens before the round starts. Using your phone’s camera and a compact folding stand, it analyzes a real putt and translates roll behavior into a personalized read on speed, feel, and pace — based on both live conditions and past sessions.

An After Effects prototype of a setup tutorial — walking through distance and slope calibration before a round. The AR measurement flow carried into the shipped app. Slope calibration was left behind — too complex to keep in the on-course experience.
After a putt, the putter becomes the controller. You mark how far the ball finished from the hole by moving it through the stand's camera view, so the input happens where your hands already are. The phone stays on the ground and the round keeps moving.
